Numerous TNELT members asked for original material to use in classrooms, especially in listening comprehension sessions or even in the pupil's third hour.

During my research, I found royalty free downoadable audiobooks treating original english classics. I appreciated the sound quality as well as the elocution and the availability of the scripts, but unfortunately they are not illustrated, that's why I'll ask you to meet in our Forum to propose suitable illustrations to the different chapters.
This exchange will enhance collabrative work and allow me to propose you other books. Each week, I'll submit on the site a list of books to your votes. The one which would obtain the majority of votes will be available for you to download; and a topic will be proposed in the Forum for you to discuss and give your opinion.
I chose to begin with Alice In Wonderland by Lewis Caroll, a great everlasting classic, that I think, can be suitable for different levels pupils.
Twelve distinct audio chapters are available for you to download, so that you can manage with each easily. Another folder contains the complete audio book at once and a latter one proposes a PDF document containing the story's script.
Enjoy dowloading and trying it and don't forget to participate on the Forum, because all opinions and suggestions are welcome. |
